Context

Questrade is a Canadian online brokerage offering self-directed investing and managed portfolio solutions. As part of the in-house design team, I contributed to ongoing brand and digital initiatives that required scalable design systems across social, campaign, and web touchpoints.

Role & Responsibilities

Brand & Digital Designer (Full-Time, 3 Years)

  • Designed motion-led social content (including Instagram reels) to support campaign storytelling and engagement
  • Created static social and campaign visuals aligned with Questrade’s brand system
  • Designed UI-focused digital assets, including layouts supporting Questwealth portfolio messaging
  • Applied motion principles to enhance hierarchy, pacing, and clarity across digital formats
  • Collaborated with marketing, copy, and development teams to ensure cohesive execution across channels

Design Approach

Motion with intention

Motion was used to support storytelling and attention flow in social formats, helping surface key messages without distracting from core information.

UI clarity & hierarchy

Layouts prioritized readability, spacing, and visual structure to make financial information easier to scan and understand across devices.

Working within a mature brand system, I ensured all assets remained consistent while adapting designs for different platforms and campaign needs.
